At Total Home Technologies LLC, we are a certified Generac installer and dealer. Not all electricians are qualified to install a Generac generator. When installing a Generac generator, it is best to choose an electrician that has the knowledge and expertise to properly install Generac products. We use only the highest quality materials and equipment to ensure that every electrical installation job we perform is done to the highest standards. An initial consultation is essential to cover the following:
Where will the Generator be installed?
- The generator should be installed in a stable, well drained area that will not flood and has the appropriate clearance from any fresh air intakes
- There should be plenty of room for initial and future technical and maintenace support
- Ensure adherence to any HOA and community restrictions when coosing an install site
Preparing the Generator install site
- Prepare the site with a concrete slab or a pea gravel and place the generator on the prepared install site
Installing the generator
- Ensure proper fuel line connection
- Proper installation of the transfer switch adjacent to the main breaker box
